| Will Bruin scored a hat trick last year vs DCU |
Historically, the Dynamo have had a lot of success against DCU. They haven't lost a game against United since 2009 and that loss is their only one in their last 11 meetings. Don't let the statistics fool you though, right now DCU is one of the hottest teams in the league, sitting in second place in the Eastern Conference and riding a 6 game unbeaten streak.
The Dynamo defense, which struggled in Columbus, will have to deal with the extremely hot Chris Pontius, who scored a hat trick last week, and the always dangerous Dwayne De Rosario. While the defense has their work cut out, the offense looks to get an added boost as midfielder Brad Davis travelled with the team and is expected to play. Davis' return is needed in a midfield which is struggling to find consistency thus far in the early season. The other story line to watch is the continued emergence of Brian Ching and Will Bruin's partnership. They have been great in the last two games, totalling three goals and two assists. Now the Dynamo have a chance to put it all together and get a much needed road win against a conference rival. If history is capable of repeating itself, this is where you would want that to happen - a year ago the Dyanmo beat DCU 4-1 on a hat trick from then rookie Will Bruin. Could we see a similar result today?
